Reports to: National Intercultural Stream Leader

Position Overview
The Regional Intercultural Ministry Leader will:
1. Shepherd Intercultural ministry team leaders who together with them will equip and mobilize believers to reach out intentionally to those from other world cultures.
2. Network with local churches in order to spread the ministry of Connecting Streams and
3. Coordinate local events for the Intercultural stream as is reasonable for their hour commitment.
4. Discipleship Tools that will be a next step for churches after conversation Cafe.
Engage on the stream team in strategic planning and decision making for IC ministry in the city
Attend the monthly Connecting Streams team meetings
Attend Intercultural monthly team meetings and any training events specific to the ministry (as is reasonable with committed hours)
Volunteer and Church Care
Shepherd Intercultural ministry team leaders: by encouraging, praying and coaching Intercultural ministry team leaders so that every team leader is growing personally and developing a succession plan to multiply and/or develop others on your team.
Help equip and train teams to effectively share the gospel in the Intercultural ministry.
Nurture relationships with existing churches and checking on things like partnership agreement renewals
Intentionally pray for your team regularly
Networking
To promote intercultural ministry in churches in your networks
Refer new church interests to the training team to launch and then shepherd that new team leader
Heading Local Events (Melissa Leder will do most of the coordination for this)
Lead 1-4 yearly events for the Team Leaders/volunteers/participants
This could range from a Christmas party for all these groups, Team Leader prayer/socials, wrap up parties for Conversation Cafes, Volunteer Appreciation, etc. (Some if these could be in collaboration with other Connecting Streams ministries in the area)
Discipleship Tool Development
Research and pilot Discipleship tools
that can be given to churches for next steps after a participant shows interest in further investigation into Christ from Conversation Cafes
Assist the Resource Coordinator in the spiritual section of the Conversation Cafe Guides
Evaluate the usefulness/future of IC’s current Discovery Bible Study Materials
that Coordinate with the intermediate Guides
Fully engage on the city team in strategic planning and decision making for IC ministry in the city
Work with the City Leader to network with churches and ministries in the city, as well as maintain healthy collaboration between all CS initiatives in the city.
Attend all CS Training, celebrations and meeting events specific to the ministry
Required Skills & Abilities:
A deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to use Google Suite or equivalent (or willing to learn)
Administrative skills, personally organized, good steward of time
Self-motivated, team builder, able to work independently
A genuine desire to see people’s lives transformed by Jesus
Education and Experience:
2+ years ministry/work related experience
Time: approximately 10 hours / week depending on the region
Options:
Associate Staff with salary: This position requires Ministry Partner Development where the successful candidate will be required to build a team which provides financial and prayer support for salary and ministry expenses (minimum 10 hours / week)
OR
Volunteer Affiliate or Associate Staff: Where the candidate is able to be financially independent, they may volunteer for this position (but can still open an account where they can raise support to be reimbursed for expenses incurred)
Other Requirements:
A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith and abide by the biblical principles outlined in these documents.
