This person will be responsible for the strategic creation of content for familylifecanda.com and play a significant role in the development of educational resources that field staff and churches use to enrich marriages and families.
In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives:
A team of volunteer authors is developing original website content on engaging and relevant topics.
All content represents FamilyLife’s voice and adheres to the website style guide.
Content marketing pieces further core ministry goals and boost conference registrations.
There is a deployment strategy for all new content.
Website statistics directly inform and refine content strategy.
Original content is written by this staff related to marriage and parenting.
Quality content is being curated to republish and/or to index as resources.
Assistance is provided in posting to social media and in writing newsletters.
All content has exceptional photos from approved sources, with images being documented and credited.
New content ideas are brainstormed and pursued regularly.
The website is populated with new content regularly; homepages and index pages are refreshed weekly.
New curriculum is edited with excellence in coordination with project leads.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Arts in English, Communications, Christian Ministry, or a related field.
2-3 years writing/editing experience in a professional context.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Excellent writing and editing skills.
The ability to write for online engagement.
Analytical and critical thinking, evidenced by careful word choice and nuancing.
A willingness to learn how to interpret website statistics to sharpen content strategy.
Experience using content management systems (such as WordPress), or the aptitude to learn.
A quick learner when it comes to new technology or online applications.
Self-motivated and organized, able to prioritize projects, plot out action steps and meet deadlines.
A keen eye for good stories, with the ability to bring them to life through words.
A team player who enjoys creative collaboration and honest feedback.

Funding
This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team.
