Ministry Overview

Power to Change is an organization that seeks to collectively, as well as individually, spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through movements of evangelism and discipleship. DRIME exists to help people discover Christ through choreographed street drama, empower others for ministry as they experience drama and evangelism training, and inspire passionate, discipled leaders through purposed community.  It is an evangelism ministry that uses drama to start conversations with people in a relational, non-threatening way.  DRIME has local teams in several different countries around the world with more teams being trained to launch in the near future.

Position Overview

As part of the Communications team, the Video Editor is responsible for helping people experience Jesus by creating inspiring and innovative videos that promote the vision and heart of DRIME, showcase different ministry events & fundraising efforts, are used for partner & donor engagement, and compliment our equipping resources. This role also includes project assistance and administrative help with various communications initiatives. 

Primary Objectives:

Video & Communications (75%)

  • Work with the Communications team to create ministry and promotional videos by organizing filming and editing

  • Work with the Equipping department to create drama & training videos and put resources online (drama creation, scripts & tutorials, etc.)

  • Help manage resources to enable the projects of Creative Communications that contribute to our vision and goals

  • Work on administrative and behind the scenes tasks that contribute to the execution and delivery of various projects

  • Work alongside other staff and volunteers at events, both in advance and on site

  • Assist the Communications Leader and team as needed 

  • Other duties as assigned

Special Projects (25%)

  • Assist with the logistics & organization of ministry events and projects as needed

  • Participate in trips and ministry events when available

  • Attend local street ministry when available

Education and Experience

  • Post secondary education is highly recommended

  • Experience in video editing/creation is an asset

  • Experience using Premiere Pro & Adobe programs is an asset

  • Experience working in groups and with teams is required

  • Previous DRIME experience is an asset 

  • Experience with other cultures is an asset

  • Organized, and detail-oriented

  • Knowledge of and a willingness to learn video editing & online systems

  • Highly self motivated and organized

Funding

This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team.
