Position Overview
As a Graphic Designer, you will help Power to Change – Students (P2C-Students) achieve its vision by helping to create visual material that is beautiful and useful. You will serve as part of the broader Creative Communications team that helps increase the impact of P2C-Students by shaping culture, producing innovative resources and experiences to help young adults discover Jesus and be equipped for a lifetime of ministry.
Primary Objectives
Help Creative Communications meet strategic goals and deadlines through the timely production of a variety of graphic design materials including, but not limited to: print material, imagery for websites and social media, branding, etc.
Participate in collaboration with team members for creative ideation and execution
Skills
Able to identify and design material that appeals to a variety of audiences: ex. university students, staff, ministry alumni, donors, etc
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Familiarity with web design, social media, or illustration an asset
Can work well in a team and coordinate with other interested parties
Willingness to develop new skills
Be able to positively receive feedback and take direction
Education and Experience
University degree or college diploma in graphic design or job-related education
Experience in graphic design work
Experience and involvement with Power to Change an asset
Other Requirements
A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith and abide by the biblical principles outlined in these documents.
Funding
This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team. Power to Change is committed to providing training and coaching that ensures success in Ministry Partner Development.
