The Opportunity
Power to Change is at a defining moment.
As we step more fully into our calling to fuel the next generation of evangelism, the future of our mission will be shaped by those called, developed, and sent. The Chief People Officer plays a critical leadership role in this future.
This is not a traditional HR leadership role. It is a mission-critical executive mandate to accelerate the people, culture, and leadership capacity required to mobilize thousands into a lifetime of mission.
The Chief People Officer will:
Shape the culture and leadership DNA of Power to Change
Build and execute a people strategy that fuels mission growth
Recruit and develop the next generation of leaders across the organization
Strengthen a national, distributed, mission-driven workforce into a unified, high-trust, high-performing movement.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this leader will help steward the organization’s future—ensuring we have the right people, in the right roles, with the right formation, to respond to God’s calling in this moment.
About Power to Change
Power to Change’s vision is to be a Hub of Evangelism for the next generation—catalysing 10,000+ Communities on Mission across Canada and to the world over the next 5+ years.
This vision builds on a core mission that has remained unchanged since our earliest days: to catalyse, equip, and support communities of believers to live on mission and make Jesus known—especially among those the body of Christ is not currently reaching.
For nearly 60 years, Power to Change has been a catalytic force for evangelism in Canada. Today, we engage across five key mission contexts—students, sport, leaders, families, and global—supported by catalytic expressions that enable innovation and new models of mission.
We are a national movement of over 450 staff, mobilising thousands of believers, and stewarding an annual budget of nearly $40 million.
What lies ahead will require a renewed vision and bold rethinking of how we engage, develop, and deploy people—fueling a movement that is multiplying, Spirit-led, and reaching far beyond our current impact.
Executive Leadership
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief People Officer shares responsibility for the overall leadership of Power to Change.
This includes:
Contributing to organizational direction, strategy, and prioritization
Advising the President and senior leaders on people, culture, and organizational health
Strengthening alignment and execution across mission contexts and ministries
Building a leadership community marked by trust, clarity, and spiritual depth

The Mandate
Flowing from this enterprise leadership responsibility, the Chief People Officer leads the strategy and execution of People and Culture across Power to Change—ensuring the organization is equipped with the people, leadership, and environment required to realise its mission.
This work centres on three interconnected priorities:
Culture & Formation
Cultivate a Jesus-centered, high-trust culture where staff are spiritually developed, deeply aligned to mission, and equipped to thrive—fostering an environment where people grow in character, leadership, and effectiveness over time.
Talent & Leadership
Design and lead a comprehensive approach to attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional leaders—building strong, visible leadership pipelines across all mission contexts and levels of the organization, and ensuring we are calling forth and releasing the leaders needed for the future of the mission.
Organizational Effectiveness
Ensure the systems and practices of the organization enable clarity, alignment, and high performance across a distributed and diverse workforce—while safeguarding the integrity of the organization through sound governance, wise risk management, and faithful stewardship of people practices.
