Ministry Overview
The Strategy and Operations team empower missional communities within P2C-S to clearly define and collaboratively reach our goals by designing, building, and managing tools and systems.
Position Overview
This role is for a skilled and highly organized Database User Experience Designer that will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our database (Engage Spaces), making complex data management and interaction intuitive, efficient and user-friendly.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible to achieve the following objectives:
User Research and Analysis
Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of database users, from data analysts to administrators.
Design and Prototyping
Create mockups, flowcharts and interactive prototypes for ministry processes to be mapped into the database
Translate technical requirements into simple and effective user flows
Collaboration
Work closely with Engage Spaces developers, administrators and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions.
Plan and execute usability tests to validate designs and identify areas for improvement with stakeholders
Collaborate with data storytellers and information architects to design the structure and organization of data interfaces, ensuring that information is logical and easily accessible
Other Responsibilities
Active participation in weekly chapel services and other ministry prayer / bible study times.
Attendance and participation in the bi-annual International Day of Prayer.
Special projects as assigned by P2C-S Strategy and Operations National Director
About You
You have a deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
You have a genuine desire to see people’s lives transformed by Jesus
You have a solid understanding of database concepts, schema design and data modelling
You are proficient and comfortable with online tools like Google Apps and other productivity tools
You have excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ability to articulate and defend design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You excel in both working independently and with a team
Experience with Power to Change - Students is an asset
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Experience in user research and analysis and/or user experience (UX)related work

Funding
This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team. Power to Change is committed to providing training and coaching that ensures success in Ministry Partner Development.
