Position Overview:

As a valued member of the Operations Team, this person will make a lasting impact, helping 35+ staff across Canada bring help and hope to even more marriages and families. They will use their graphic design skills to create top quality digital and print materials for marketing, communications and educational purposes. They will create and update web pages and assist with administrative tasks to help the office run smoothly to fulfill the ministry goals of FamilyLife Canada.

Primary Objectives:

  • With feedback from the Director of Marketing and Communications, create engaging, clear and on-brand graphic designs for social media, website, email, print, event and fundraising communications. 

  • Coordinate with vendors for print material

  • Support the execution of email and print marketing campaigns

  • Build and update web pages as needed to help fulfill the marketing and communications strategy of FamilyLife Canada.

  • Assist staff across Canada with basic graphic designs to promote events in their region.

  • Assist the Director of Marketing and Communications with administrative tasks as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Marketing, Christian Ministry, or a related field. Or graphic design certification.

  • 2-3 years of graphic design experience in a business or ministry context.

  • 1 year of administrative experience or the aptitude to learn.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Servant-hearted, eager to assist others to help them be successful.

  • Creative and highly visual, with the ability to design concepts from ideation to completion. 

  • A clear communicator who takes the initiative to share ideas, gain feedback and follow up.

  • Passionate about their creative vision but willing to compromise to reach best outcomes.

  • Proficient at Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and eager to learn more creative applications. 

  • A honed sense of typography in graphic designs. 

  • Some experience in using content management systems (CMSs, such as WordPress) to build web and update web pages.   

  • Organized and self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks according to deadlines.

  • A clear communicator both orally and in writing.

  • Video editing skills would be an asset. 

Other Requirements:

A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith and abide by the biblical principles outlined in these documents.

Funding

This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team.
