Position Overview
As a Marketing Specialist, you will help Power to Change – Students (P2C-Students) achieve its vision by assisting with a variety of marketing initiatives. You will serve as part of the broader Creative Communications team that helps increase the impact of P2C-Students by shaping culture, producing innovative resources and experiences to help young adults discover Jesus and be equipped for a lifetime of ministry.
Primary Outcomes
Creates comprehensive marketing strategies directed towards internal and external audiences, including but not limited to: Events, Podcasts, Donor communications and Fundraising.
Provides marketing consultation or support for cross-departmental initiatives
Collaborates with design, photo, video, writing and social media team members to develop all aspects of marketing campaigns
Effectively communicates with specific audiences through market research
Facilitates various marketing projects through administrative tasks
Participates in the measurement of campaign effectiveness
Working alongside other staff and volunteers at events, both in advance and on site
Other duties as assigned
Skills
Promotional writing and editing for a variety of media and audiences
Understanding of social media
Collaboration within department, organization and external parties
Project coordination
Able to identify and engage well with a variety of audiences including: university student, staff, alumni, donor and other audiences
Education and Experience
University Degree or College Diploma in marketing, communications or a related field, or Job-related Education
Experience in marketing work
Experience and involvement with Power to Change an asset
Other Requirements
A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith and abide by the biblical principles outlined in these documents
Funding
This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team. Power to Change is committed to providing training and coaching that ensures success in Ministry Partner Development.
