Power to Change (P2C) is an organization that seeks to collectively as well as individually, spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through movements of evangelism and discipleship. Position Overview:
The role of the Mobilization Manager is to give leadership to the mobilization of volunteers, both through international LIFE Team Projects as well as mobilizing national volunteers in Canada. This role will facilitate GAiN’s LIFE Team Program and build a strategy for volunteer mobilization across Canada.
About the Role
The Mobilization Manager will facilitate the LIFE teams program and procedures in consultation with the GAiN Lead Team. They will also be responsible to build a national strategy for engaging volunteers in Canada. This role will be held accountable to achieve the following outcomes:
New volunteers are successfully recruited to volunteer in Canada and on international LIFE Teams
A database of volunteers is effectively managed and grown
Guidelines are provided to Donor Advancement for the recruitment of team members
Materials are developed for recruiting through various channels in coordination with Donor Advancement
Team member applications are effectively and correctly processed for LIFE Team projects and volunteer roles
Annual budgets and LIFE team calendars are prepared
Team budgets are successfully managed in the field and reconciled upon completion
Training and operation manuals for LIFE teams are developed and maintained
A national strategic plan is developed to engage volunteers in a Canadian context
Canadian opportunities are developed are facilitated to mobilize volunteers with GAiN across Canada
LIFE Teams are facilitated effectively:
Regular communication with participants is established both prior to and upon return from the field
In-country partners are communicated with to partner together in developing the team activity framework in the field
LIFE Teams are successfully managed in the field OR Project leaders are equipped effectively to lead LIFE Teams
Active participation in weekly chapel and other ministry prayer/bible study times.
Special projects as assigned by GAiN’s COO or Lead Team

You have a deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
You have a genuine desire to see people’s lives transformed by Jesus
You love people and have strong communication skills
You know details matter and are well-organized and effective in tracking pieces across multiple projects
You can think critically and outside the box to creatively solve problems
You can adapt and are skilled working cross-culturally
Education and Experience
At least one year post secondary education. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not essential
At least one-two years in Relief and Development Ministry or other related ministry/industry experience
Able to travel internationally (hold or can obtain a valid passport) and perform in a variety of cross-cultural settings
As this position works with children in an international context, the successful applicant will be required to complete a criminal record check and vulnerable sector search
Other Requirements:
A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith and abide by the biblical principles outlined in these documents.
Funding
This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team.
