Reports to:  National Resource Center Operations Manager

Position type: Onsite - Part Time - 22.5 hours/week, 8:30am - 1:00pm ($20 - $23/hr)

Position Overview

This role is a part of our NRC Core Services Team and supports the NRC Operations Manager in order to meet the needs of P2C staff as it pertains to building maintenance/improvements, equipment maintenance / procurement, incoming and outgoing mail/courier, storage configuration, reception, and supporting all resourcing needs for our ministries through our e-commerce resource center.

The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, is able to exercise sound problem solving skills while capable of balancing the demands of multiple priorities at any given time. The ideal candidate is an individual who enjoys learning new things and has a heart to advance Kingdom work through serving others.

About the Role

P2C Store Operations Support

  • Process store orders and email inquiries within established response timelines.

  • Ensure order fulfillment and shipping processes are completed accurately and efficiently

  • Support conference inventory shipments to ensure timely delivery and availability

  • Assist with month-end reporting processes for Finance (Internal Sales, External Sales, Consignment, B2B)

  • Maintain organized digital records of orders and transactions to support a customer-focused operations on our BigCommerce platform

Building Maintenance/Operations:

  • Provide daily lunch (12-1pm) relief coverage of the front desk to ensure uninterrupted reception services

  • Assist the NRC Operations Manager in ongoing building maintenance needs such as daily inspections and preventative up-keep, painting needs, waste collection coordination, and other tasks as assigned

  • Coordinate and support in ongoing room setups and event preparation needs as required

  • Procure necessary maintenance and operational supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner

Warehouse Maintenance

  • Ensure a clean and safe warehouse environment, including shipping, receiving, and inventory/storage volumes management to align with standards of cleanliness and safety

  • Organize storage spaces and conduct inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure issues are communicated promptly

Postal Operations

  • Collect and process outgoing mail (using Pitney Bowes) and parcels (using Freightcom)

  • Support management of the PitneyWorks, Canada Post and Purolator accounts

  • Monitor shipment status, and confirm successful deliveries

  • Ensure mailroom is organized, clean, and tidy

  • Order supplies related to postal operations

  • Complete end-of-month reports as required

Other Responsibilities

  • Active participation in weekly chapel services and other ministry prayer / bible study times.

  • Attendance and participation in the bi-annual International Day of Prayer.

  • Special projects as assigned by the NRC Operations Manager

Required Skills & Abilities

  • A keen eye for detail, notices things needing tended to and takes appropriate action

  • Basic maintenance skills and capacity to use tools and problem solve building issues

  • Flexibility to work in different environments (inside/outside) and on various tasks

  • Ability to prioritize and be organized

  • Ability to do some heavy lifting (up to 50lbs)

Education and Experience

  • High School Education Completed

  • Experience in facilities maintenance an asset

  • Experience in e-commerce operations

  • Ability to use graphic design programs such as inDesign, Canva and google workspace applications

  • Maintain forklift certification (course paid for by P2C)

  • Maintain an active first aid certification (course paid for by P2C)
