Ministry Overview
The Strategy and Operations team empower missional communities within P2C-S to clearly define and collaboratively reach our goals by designing, building, and managing tools and systems.
Position Overview
This role is for a highly organized and detail- oriented event planner who is responsible for planning and executing life impacting online events and in person events aligned with the purpose and mission of Power to Change.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Event Planning and Logistics
Manage all aspects of event planning, including developing detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets
Research and book venues and negotiate contracts
Coordinate event logistics such as attendee lists, invitations, transportation, accommodation and meal plans
2. On-Site Execution
Oversee all on-site event activities, including setup, production and tear down
Troubleshoot and resolve an issues that arise during the event
3. Team and Stakeholder Management
Consult with staff within P2C-S to understand their event needs, objectives and budget
Maintain strong relationships through excellent communication with vendors, venues and other contacts
4. Other Responsibilities
Active participation in weekly chapel services and other ministry prayer / bible study times.
Attendance and participation in the bi-annual International Day of Prayer.
Special projects as assigned by P2C-S Strategy and Operations National Director
Requirement
You have a deep, growing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
You have proven experience as an event planner or similar role
You have strong interpersonal and communication skills over a variety of settings and platforms
You have the ability to work well with others in a team setting
You have proven ability to manage your time effectively to achieve objectives
You are proficient in Google Suite of applications or equivalent
Education and Experience
University degree or equivalent.
Experience in event planning and management
Funding
This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team. Power to Change is committed to providing training and coaching that ensures success in Ministry Partner Development.
