Position Overview
The Site Editor in Chief, in consultation with the Content Strategist, is responsible for determining what content gets published on all sites for which he or she is responsible. The Site Editor in Chief may also be called upon to write or edit ministry reports, proposals, and newsletters for DS in consultation with the Content Strategist and Creative Director. This person will also help direct the English, French, and other language content teams.
Primary Responsibilities
The Editor in Chief will be held accountable for achieving the following objectives:
Revise and Review Content
Ensure that all articles, photographs, and copy are edited for accuracy for the sites under his or her responsibility
Provide feedback to authors and editors, if needed, before content is published or released
Support Content Strategist and Editorial Team
In consultation with the Content Strategist, manage content to serve the objectives of the ministry
Provide direction to the other editors on the Content Team
In consultation with the Content Strategist, direct the editors and authors on the Content team in the designing and deployment of content that draws people into mentoring or serves the mentoring team.
Be involved as an online missionary
Become an online mentor to understand and experience the heart of Digital Strategies’ ministry.
Education and Experience
Education in the field of communication or experience writing and editing in English
Experience with content management systems, such as WordPress or Statamic or similar systems
Experience with newsletter applications, such as MailChimp, or similar systems
Experience with G Suite (Google Docs, Drive, etc.) is an asset
Required Skills & Abilities
Fluent in English
Fluency in French is an asset
Attention to detail and an ability to edit rigorously and well In English
Collaborative and takes initiative to reach out to other departments when asked
Experience with content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Statamic) is an asset
Experience with G Suite (Google Docs, Drive, etc.) is an asset
Directing others: good at establishing clear directions; sets objectives; distributes workload appropriately
Comfortable working remotely
Works well with others

Funding
This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team. Power to Change is committed to providing training and coaching that ensures success in Ministry Partner Development.
