Ministry Overview

Power to Change (P2C) is an organization that seeks to collectively as well as individually, spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through movements of evangelism and discipleship.

Power to Change – Students (P2C-Students) longs for a day when no student graduates without engaging in the life-transforming message of Jesus. Position Overview

Our vision is to see every student walking closer to Jesus and experience life in him. As a member of the Strategy and Operations department, you will help Power to Change – Students achieve its vision by contributing to software, data management, and other organizationally significant projects. These projects support the work of other departments within P2C-Students including Development, Global Missions, Creative Communications, Campus Strategies, and Staff Development and Training.

Primary Objectives:

  • Aids in the design and construction of a primary database for P2C-Students that will help enable students to live on mission during and after their time in post-secondary education.

  • Aids in the development of a web and mobile application that will be used by staff and student leaders to manage local ministry information and help prospective students find Christian community.

  • Implements systems for collecting and interpreting metrics and surveys.

  • Develops and maintains websites and automated workflows.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with any of (but not limited to) the following languages is an asset: HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, SQL, Dart, Bash

 Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma that includes a computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences component is an asset.

  • Experience and involvement with Power to Change an asset.

Other Requirements

A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the P2C Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith and abide by the biblical principles outlined in these documents

Funding

This position requires Ministry Partner Development. The successful candidate will have the privilege to build a partnership team which provides financial and prayer support for the ministry. The financial support will cover the costs of the candidate’s salary and ministry expenses. Power to Change believes that Ministry Partner Development is biblical and God will provide everything necessary to fulfill the calling into ministry: finances, emotional strength and perseverance. Building a ministry partnership team is an integral part of being in ministry. There are many opportunities to bless and encourage the partnership team. Power to Change is committed to providing training and coaching that ensures success in Ministry Partner Development.
